QR Code Generator FAQ
What types of QR codes can I create with this generator?
You can create QR codes for website URLs, plain text, Wi-Fi networks, vCard contacts, emails, phone calls, SMS messages, map locations, calendar events, and PayPal, Bitcoin or Ethereum payments. Each type writes its data in the standard format phones understand, so scanning opens the right app.
What download formats are available for the QR codes?
Download your QR code as a PNG image at 256, 512 or 1024 pixels, as an SVG vector that stays sharp at any size, or as a PDF page with the code and a label, ready to print. You can also copy the image to your clipboard or share it from your phone.
What is error correction in QR codes and which level should I choose?
Error correction keeps a QR code scannable when part of it is damaged, dirty or covered. Low recovers about 7% of the code, Medium 15%, Quartile 25% and High 30%. Higher levels add more data, so the code gets denser. Medium is right for most uses; choose Quartile or High for codes printed outdoors or on surfaces that get worn.
How do I make a QR code for my Wi-Fi network?
Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, and pick the security type (WPA/WPA2 for most routers). Phones that scan the code offer to join the network without typing the password. Special characters in the name or password are escaped for you, so the code still works.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the data is stored in the code itself, not on a server, so they never expire and have no scan limits. If the link or details change, make a new code.
Can I change the colors of my QR code?
Yes. Open Design to set the code and background colors, the margin and the image size. Keep a dark code on a light background: the tool warns you when the contrast is too low for phones to scan.
